Today's blog will be in Spanish first but it is in English at the bottom.

Couldn't understand it in Spanish? Well here it is in English!

Three full days and four even fuller nights is hard to capture in one blog. Barcelona welcomed us with open arms and graciously extended everything it had to offer our way.
Friday morning we woke up and went with McConnell to tour the Sagrada Familia, an unfinished modern cathedral that is truly a piece of art. Designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudi, the building reflects his attention to detail in the varied use of geometric shapes and biblical facades that adorn the building. The pictures below provide a better description.
Here is a sculpture of Joseph, Jesus Christ’s earthly father, with a view of stained glass Windows further up.
The pillars contain names of the 12 disciples in Catalan. Above the altar hangs a sculpture of Jesus nailed to the cross.
This collection of sculptures shows the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
“Let’s go to the beach, beach…!”
Great sun and clear skies meant perfect beach weather for the whole crew. Basically we spent the next two days there and can now say we dipped our feet in the Mediterranean. The water is definitely bluer than back home in Carolina and deeper closer to the shore, which is kind of nice.
Here are some pics from our beach adventures:

Birthday! Birthday!
I could not write this blog without mentioning that we put on one of the best birthday dinners a 21-years-young Alex could ask for at El Rey de la Gamba. Though at first we ran into trouble at a few other restaurants, El Rey de la Gamba was able to accommodate our party of 21 people. We called ahead and by the time we got there, our table was ready.
The food was absolutely delicious. Each plate was absolutely more than you could ever ask for, and for reasonable prices [especially considering the amount of food we were given].
Since the table literally reached across like half a football field, Alex had no idea that our side of the table had told the waiter it was his birthday. After most of us had eaten our food, the team of waiters and waitress came out banging pots and pans, blowing on horns and singing “Cumpleanos feliz.” A few minutes later, when everyone was done eating, they brought out complimentary champagne for the group. What a great birthday indeed.
Alex prepares to blow out the candle while the team of waiters sings Cumpleaños Feliz to him.

We finally ended the trip with class as McConnell invited us to an endless tapas buffet restaurant. What a gent!
We will miss Barcelona. And some of us will come back, some sooner than others.
Here are some other pics from the weekend.
Just some of the pictures from Magic Fountain Show of Montjuïc. Music plays during the shows and the shows run every thirty minutes until 11:30pm at night. Morgan enjoys some “Eye Scream,” a very different type of ice cream that is served shaved in order to give it a lighter texture and more airy feel. Eyes are also added on top, hence the name.
Outside the Picasso Museum, an impromptu music group plays for the people waiting in line. In Barcelona, we saw some of the best street performers Spain has to offer, including break dancers who hardly ever touched the ground.
